HIV Indemnity Insurance
As a physician, you may be at higher than normal risk for contracting the HIV virus. You have health insurance, of course. But if you ever become infected by this devastating virus, you may discover that your group or individual health insurance plan will pay limited or no benefits while you are HIV-positive and asymptomatic.
Worse, you may be required to stop practicing medicine, leaving you with the prospect of facing both mounting medical bills and loss of income.
The AMA-sponsored HIV Indemnity Insurance Plan, offered to both AMA members and non-members alike, will pay you up to $1 Million in benefits upon a confirmed first positive HIV diagnosis anytime during your lifetime while coverage is in force. What's more, benefits are paid in addition to any benefits your traditional health and/or disability insurance plan may provide. Group rates are affordable and guaranteed for 5 years.
Contact AMA Insurance Agency, Inc. for more information about this AMA-sponsored plan for medical professionals.
The enrollment period for this plan is currently: Closed
The Plan has a limited enrollment period that begins September 1 and ends March 1 of each year.
