Refreshing the conversation with you

April 12, 2013

If you're new to this blog, "Welcome!" And if you've been here before, it's good to have you back. You'll notice that there's a new look and a new name for the blog – "Physicians In Focus."

Since 2010, my colleagues and I have authored posts under the "Postscripts" name on a wide range of topics that I hope you've found informative and entertaining.

As I was reflecting on some of the exciting information I want to cover in the coming weeks and months, it seemed to me that "Post Scripts" just didn’t convey the right feeling. The things I want to engage you with aren't afterthoughts in any way. My team and I come to the office every day because serving America's physicians is a personal mission, and our singular focus. With that thought, the renaming of this blog was easy! To me, "Physicians In Focus" more aptly captures our relationship with you.

But I want this blog to have more than just a new look and feel – that's merely cosmetic. I really want it to be a place where you and I refresh our dialogue, a place where we can converse on things, exchange ideas and get to know each other better.

This year, I plan to share more ideas, insights and information that can positively affect your financial health and that of your family and your practice. You can expect an expanded look at your real concerns and needs along with specific insurance, financial and retirement planning tips and ideas, and more guest posts from experts on topics that can make a real difference to you.

I'll also pass on items of personal interest, particularly around technology topics – like cool new apps, social media trends or e-newsletters or articles you may enjoy. I’ll make sure we tweet links to this blog via @amainsure whenever there's something newsworthy to share.

I invite you to connect with me at about anything on your mind, whether it's something you read here or another issue you want to discuss. I hope you enjoy this column and I look forward to hearing
from you!
